Flossmoor Ice Skating. The H-F Park District reports that both ice rinks in Flossmoor Park, Flossmoor Road and Braeburn Avenue are expected to be ready for skaters by the weekend. “Please keep an eye on the yellow caution tape around the rinks, so you know when it’s safe to skate.” Check the status of the rinks at hfparks.com/rinkstatus/.
Crafty Tots. Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., will host the session starting at 10:30 a.m. Youngsters will be able to “finger-paint, doodle, and put together your own works of art. All supplies provided. Registration is required and limited.”
Senior Social Hour. Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway, will host the informal session starting at 1 p.m. “Join us for an hour of pleasant conversation and light refreshments.”

Karaoke at G&T. G&T Trackside very first karaoke night will be from 7 to 10 p.m. at 106 E. Margaret St. in Thornton.
