Kids had fun marking time until the countdown for the Noon Year’s Eve celebration at the H-F Sports Complex in Homewood.
A bouncy house, crafts, basketball play for little ones and older kids, and games, including bowling and checkers, gave kids a chance to run and play before they came together for the grand countdown at noon.
Noise makers and celebratory champagne poppers added to the festivities.
New Year’s resolutions were offered by a few of the older celebrants. Amelia Chan, a fourth grader at Western Avenue School, said she’ll strive to improve her math scores and Avery Orr of Flossmoor wants to get better at basketball.
Erin Graves of Homewood will work on her softball skills and her brother, George, is going to strive to improve his reading.
