For the second year in a row since COVID 19 interrupted their tradition of hosting an Advent dinner, a crowd of more than 170 women from St. Veronica’s parish attended a candlelight dinner at Olympia Fields Country Club to mark the four-week season of remembering and celebrating Christmas and the birth of Jesus.

Besides dinner, the event showcased a seemingly endless sweet table provided by the guests, an inspiring address by Drew Lyke, a leader in Catholic marriage ministry and Black Catholic Empowerment, musical entertainment, a collection of gift cards for the needy served by the St. Vincent De Paul Society, and of course, camaraderie.
