Obituary: Dr. Elmer Washington

Dr. Elmer Lee Washington, Sr. passed away in Hazel Crest, Illinois on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024.  He was born October 18th, 1935 in Houston, Texas to Daisy Belle White and Butler Washington. He grew up in Austin, Texas where he excelled academically. He attended Texas Southern University and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry. He then moved to Chicago to earn his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the Illinois Institute
