The weather can be iffy in late October, but this year’s Homewood-Flossmoor Park District Trick or Treat Trail at Millennium Park on Oct. 26 was conducted under idyllic conditions.

Families took advantage of the brilliant blue sky and mild temperatures to make the trek around the park trail, where local businesses and organizations had trick or treat tables set up.

There were witches, ghosts and a variety of creatures and characters on both sides of the tables, but the youngsters in costume reaped the sweet rewards offered by participating organizations.

According to the park district, sponsors included Specialized Staffing Solutions Inc., Friends of Flossmoor Public Library, Friends of Homewood Public LibraryEdward Jones – Financial Advisor: Patrick ZamkinHomewood Rotary Club, Creative Approaches to Therapy and Flossmoor Animal Hospital.
