The Village of Flossmoor and Flossmoor Public Library will host a musical performance by Mariachi Tradicional Juvenil, an ensemble group from the Mariachi Arts & Culture Academy, at the library, 1000 Sterling Ave., from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month.
The ensemble has 10 members, including a teacher and nine children between the ages of 9 and 15.
The group seeks to share the tradition of Mexican mariachi music.
Flossmoor has been celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month annually for several years with mariachi musical performances.
