COMMUNITY BAND CONCERT — The H-F Community Band will perform at 6:45 p.m. tonight in the Irwin Park band shell at 18120 Highland Ave. in Homewood. Tuba Fu will open for the full band.

RHYTHM BASICS — Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., will host a presentation from 7 to 8 p.m. by Tom Maslowski on the fundamentals of rhythm for novice musicians or experienced musicians with questions. Registration is not required.
