Homewood and area residents gathered along Dixie Highway and Ridge Road on Thursday, July 4, to celebrate the nation’s independence with the village’s traditional parade.
Overcast skies kept the morning from becoming very hot, but the clouds drizzled a bit on the parade before it ended at Izaak Walton Nature Preserve.
