Flossmoor is getting a taste of Chicago’s favorite ice cream as The Original Rainbow Cone announced the opening of a new location at 19805 S. Crawford Ave.
Rainbow Cone in Flossmoor will host a grand opening celebration with a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. July 3. The first 50 guests in line outside shop when the doors officially open at 11 a.m. will be treated to a free cone.
Rainbow Cone was founded in 1926 and now has 19 permanent locations in addition to seasonal kiosks at Navy Pier and Guaranteed Rate Field.
The shop offers single-flavor cones, sundaes, ice cream cakes, mini donuts and more. Guests who visit Rainbow Cone in Flossmoor will also get a taste of the brand’s four new Sliced Creations: Orange Dream, Chocolate Obsession, Minty City and Cosmic Birthday.
