HF JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL. The fourth annual festival organized by You Matter 2 will include entertainment, art, food, history, activities for kids and many vendors in the Homewood-Flossmoor High School south parking lot, 999 Kedzie Ave., from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.


FISHING DERBY — The annual William McDowell Fishing Derby will be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Dolphin Lake, Governors Highway and 183rd Street in Homewood. No fishing permits are required this year, according to organizers. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Poles and bait will be available. A bicycle will be presented as the grand prize.
HOMEWOOD FARMERS MARKET — Fresh produce, artisan foods, handcrafted personal care item vendors plus live music will all be available on Martin Square between Ridge Road and Chestnut Road from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
SHREDDING/ELECTRONICS RECYCLING/DRUG DISPOSAL — State Rep. Will Davis will host a paper shredding/electronics recycling/prescription drug takeback event at his office, 1912 174th St. in East Hazel Crest, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
BARB AND DAN’S ROAD RIDE — Weekly bike ride start at 8 a.m. Saturday from GoodSpeed Cycle, 2125 W. 183rd St. in Homewood. There are two groups. One is a no-one-gets-dropped group that follows a 20-mile route. Another group goes on a longer ride. Helmets required. Lights encouraged. Riders of all experience levels are welcome.
OFF-LEASH BIKE RIDE — A nine-mile ride every Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m. at GoodSpeed Cycle, 2125 W. 183rd St. in Homewood. The route includes Butterfield Creek bike path, past Rover’s Run and through Izaak Walton Preserve. No registration. Donuts upon return.
GRAND PRAIRIE SINGERS — Langston Hughes’ poem “I Dream A World” will be the focus of a concert from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Flossmoor Community Church, 2218 Hutchison Road.
ROLLER DERBY — The Chicago Knockouts will host a bout for adults-only. Doors open at 8:15 p.m., action begins at 9 p.m. General tickets $15, trackside $20, front row $25.
