PROMISE OF HOPE FASHION SHOW — Ingalls Development Foundation will host a fashion show fundraiser from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at The Odyssey, 19110 Ridgeland Ave., suite A, in Tinley Park. Proceeds from the event will support cancer programs. Purchase tickets here.

LOCAL AUTHORS FAIR — Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., will host an event today to help launch its new local authors collection. Twenty local authors will be on hand to do 10-minute readings from their work from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in the Helen Wilson Meeting Room.

HF JUNETEENTH FEST LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS — You Matter 2 is seeking volunteers to help run the HF Juneteenth Festival. Tasks include engaging with visitors at activity booths and assisting with sales at the entrance to photographers/videographers and runners/floaters, set-up crews and senior/ADA transportation assistance. Sign up here by Friday, May 17.
