‘URINETOWN’ at H-F — According to Musical Theatre Internation, “Urinetown” is a “musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, environmental collapse, privatization of natural resources, bureaucracy, municipal politics, and musical theatre.” The musical will be performed in the Mall Auditorium at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, 999 Kedzie Ave., at 7 p.m. Buy tickets here.

H-F READS BOOK FAIR — As part of a week-long book fair, Homewood-Flossmoor High School, 999 Kedzie Ave. in Flossmoor, will hold an open house for the community from 5 to 8 p.m. in the library.

PHOEBE HUNT IN CONCERT — Fiddler Phoebe Hunt has been compared to Emmylou Harris or Allison Krauss. She will be performing from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Rock Shop, 18109 Dixie Highway in Homewood. Buy tickets here.

LEARN ABOUT OAK TREES — Izaak Walton Nature Preserve Conservation Committee member Dave Shepard will present from 7 to 9 p.m. in Senior Hall, 1100 Ridge Road in Homewood. He will discuss identification, ecology and restoration management of the 18 oak species still in existence.
