Marian Catholic High School students brought home the state championship trophy for their Performance in the Round presentation at the IHSA state speech tournament in February.
The Performance in the Round team members were Isaiah Allison, Ryan Blair, Joseph Bojda, Noah Burks, Robyn Carroll, Tori Cates, Gabrielle Giden, Tyler Grayson, Simone Henley, Kennedy Perkins, Gabrielle Price, Savannah Rae Thomas and Christopher Watkins.
In addition to the team effort, Chris Reed and Declana Sawyer won fourth place honors for humorous duet acting. Reed also took third place honors in humorous interpretation. Shelah Boyd won second place in poetry reading.
