Homewood police are investigating a report of shots fired in the 18100 block of Center Avenue on Sunday, March 31.
Police received reports of shots fired shortly after 8 p.m. Officers who responded to the scene said they found several spent shell casings, but whoever was responsible apparently had fled the area.
A preliminary investigation indicates the incident was not random and occurred during a disturbance at a residence in the area, police said.
No injuries were reported.
