Two men have been arrested in connection with a carjacking incident on Feb. 27, according to Homewood police.
Santo Barr, 20, of Homewood, and Katasha Asielue, 28, of Chicago were taken into custody and each was charged with one count aggravated vehicular hijacking, police said.
The incident happened shortly after 6 p.m. in the 800 block of Elder Road in Homewood. Two people, one man armed with a rifle and one woman armed with a handgun, allegedly approached a Kia Sorento while the driver was seated in the vehicle.
The driver left on foot and the suspects left in the vehicle, which later was recovered in Chicago.
