CANDLE MAKING & SIP — H-F Park District in partnership with Blue Pearl Candles will host an opportunity learn how to make candles while enjoying light refreshments and wine from noon to 2 p.m. today in Irwin Center, 18120 Highland Ave. in Homewood. TEEN LEADERSHIP COUNCIL — Homewood Public Library invites teens in grades 7 through 12 to join the council and help shape library programs, book selections “or anything else that will help make the world around us a better place.” The meeting will be from 7:45 to 8:45 p.m. tonight in the F.O.R.T. at the library, 17917 Dixie Highway.
