WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 8 p.m. tonight until noon Tuesday, Jan. 9. The forecast calls for wet snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches and winds gusting as high as 30 mph, according to NWS. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible for a brief period late tonight. Visibilities under one half mile are possible. To find road conditions visit www.gettingaroundillinois.com. Remember to move vehicles off streets when snowfall reaches 2 inches. Street parking is prohibited until streets are cleared of snow curb to curb.

DISTRIC 153 SCHOOL BOARD — The board will meet at 7 p.m. tonight in the James Hart School media center, 18220 Morgan St. Find the agenda here. The board will consider accepting a $1.47 million roof replacement bid for Churchill School. The board also will consider a memorandum of understanding with the Homewood Education Association extending the current agreement through fiscal year 2025.
