SNOW — The National Weather Service is predicting as much as 1 to 2 inches of slow overnight with the possibility of another half inch before noon today.

  • Remember to move vehicles off the street when snow reaches 2 inches.
  • Keep vehicles off the street until the snow is cleared curb to curb.
  • Be extra cautious if you need to go out. Even brined, salted and plowed streets can have slick spots.
  • Reduce speed and put distance between yourself and other drivers.

STEM SATURDAY — The program from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Homewood Science Center, 18022 Dixie Highway, will focus on animals of the North Pole.

FLOSSMOOR CENTENNIAL WEBSITE — Flossmoor unveiled a website for the village’s centennial celebration. It includes a list of the year’s events and a timeline tracing the village’s history. The website includes a centennial merchandise shop with shirts, hoodies, caps, hats and golf towels. All proceeds will benefit the Flossmoor Public Art Fund.
