Homewood Trustee Jay Heiferman had the honor of lighting the menorah on the seventh night of Hanukkah on Dec. 13 in Flossmoor Park.
He made a brief comment before saying the Hanukkah blessing.
“As we enjoy the glow of the candles, may we each be reminded of our own ability to bring light to the world and light to each other. Happy Hanukkah,” he said.
