NANNY NIKKI — Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., will host a holiday musical performance by Nanny Nikki today at 11 a.m.

HF SUZUKI STRING  Musicians will perform holiday music in the atrium of Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., from 2 to 3 p.m. today entertaining with a selection of songs. 

MENORAH LIGHTING — Flossmoor will host a menorah lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. in front of Park Place in Flossmoor Park, 2449 Flossmoor Road. The ceremony celebrating Hanukkah will be conducted at 5 p.m. each day through Dec. 15.

STEM SATURDAY — The Homewood Science Center, 18022 Dixie Highway, will host a holiday STEM today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Activities will include making holiday STEM ornaments, Magic Milk for Santa and more. There will also be holiday-themed anatomy crafts and activities.

IPO HOLIDAY CONCERT — The Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra will host its “Holiday Festival: A Celebration of Voice & Music” its family-friendly holiday program at 3 p.m. today featuring the Chicago Community Chorus, led by Artistic Director Keith Hampton. Find tickets here.

HOLIDAY FAIR — Flossmoor Office Center, 1835 Dixie Highway, will host a holiday fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in Building B. For more information email [email protected].

SANTA COMES TO PUPPY TOWN — Flossmoor Station Restaurant & Brewery, 1035 Sterling Ave., will welcome families and their canine friends to a buffet brunch from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday. Photos with Santa. Raffle with proceeds benefiting the South Suburban Humane Society. RSVP by calling 708-957-2739. 

MEETING CHANGE — The Homewood Board of Trustees regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 26, has been rescheduled for Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. in the village hall board room located at 2020 Chestnut Road, Homewood.
