Flossmoor police arrested four juveniles Wednesday, Nov. 22, one of whom allegedly was armed after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle crash at approximately 2:17 p.m.
Police believe the juveniles were the occupants of the vehicle and fled on foot after the accident.
Police said the vehicle was observed speeding through a neighboring community prior to crashing in Flossmoor. Upon additional follow-up investigation, the vehicle was determined to have been stolen.
Flossmoor officers searched the vicinity of the accident scene with the assistance of the Olympia Fields Police Department. The four juvenile suspects were ultimately located and taken into custody by police without incident.
There were no injuries related to the incident.
The incident is currently under investigation. There is no active threat to the Flossmoor community.
Because the incident involves juveniles, there will be no additional information released at this time.
In addition to the Olympia Fields Police Department, the Flossmoor Fire Department, the Cook County Sheriff’s Department and Chicago Heights Police Department also aided officers following the vehicle crash.
