Hart students perform ‘Aladdin Jr.’ Thursday and Friday

Watch the adventures of Aladdin and his flying carpet when students at James Hart School perform the musical “Aladdin Jr.” Thursday and Friday, Nov. 16 and 17, at the school, 18220 Morgan Ave. in Homewood.

Aladdin Jr. is a one-act musical adapted from the 1992 Walt Disney film “Aladdin.” The story revolves around Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character.

The show is under the direction of music teacher Heather Olsen and co-director Lisa Wendt. The student director is Madison Vitolka.

Cast members are Noah Armwood-Henderson, Zoe Barnas, Symion Billups, Jennah Cannon, Sydney Chambers, Zadie Ber-Collins, Josh Cox, Amirah Cross, Adelai Easter, Henry Eisenberg, Nina Haskell, Ginger Willford Holley, Kayla Macklin, Teagan Meeks, Abby O’Quin, Sophia O’Quin, CJ Pocu, Natalie Popelka, Chloe Schneider, Christopher Schneider, Roy Smith, Luke Wagner, Maeve Welsh, Mia Wintermantle and Addie Zawaski.

Ensemble members are Xoe Ali, Sam Crocker, Jeremiah Elmore, Eliana Falk, Bennett Fishman, Eleanor Greep, Caden Hooks, Blaise Kelly, Adelaide Kempe, Hailey Mack, Christie Nnaemeka, Bianca Nwuchakwu, Cecily Ortega, Melianny Rodriguez, Tori San Juan, Willie Salus, Logan Stine, Molly Tracy, Amelia Willford-Holley, Johnny Williams and Olivia Zandi.

Members of the stage crew are Trey Benal, Joy Benjamin, Noah Benjamin, Gia Bushong, Zen Cambric, Owen Cook, Charles Egge, Evelyn Fogarty, Penny Greep, Libbey Heyman, Shane Jursa, Elisha Kline, Rowan Kolb, Gabrielle Milsap, Molly Noble, Teagan Pace, Hartley Shulman, Makayla Shulman, Alonda Taylor and Greta Zirbel.

Tickets are on sale at the Hart School office. Tickets will be available at the door, unless the shows are sold out ahead of performance.
