Homewood’s James Hart School Panthers baseball team were regional champions after defeating Flossmoor’s Parker Junior High Falcons team in division play Sept. 20. The score was 2-0.
The Panthers advanced to sectional play against Frankfort Hickory Creek in the Illinois Elementary School Association competition, but lost 4-1 in a game on Sept. 23.
Hart went into the playoffs with an 11-2 season record.
Team members are Brady Blasgen, Antonio Britton, Jordan Clark, Joash Ebeywa, William Estock, Ethan Hamilton, James Hayes, Blake Head, Matthew Holley, Myles Humes, Elliot Humm, Zachariah Klyn, Torrey Langston, Michael McCloud, Evan McNeil, Zaire Presley and Ashton Turner.
