Homewood police arrested an Oak Forest man early Wednesday, Sept. 27, after responding to a report of someone pulling on car door handles in the 1500 block of Linden Road.

Marco Wilson, 42, allegedly fled when officers approached him shortly after 2 a.m. After a short foot chase, Wilson was taken into custody.
During the chase, officers said they observed Wilson throw something away. The item was later found to be an unloaded handgun, according to police.
Items taken in a car burglary allegedly were located in Wilson’s pockets.
Wilson was charged with a class X felony armed habitual criminal, a class 2 felony burglary and three counts of resisting arrest, police said.
