Homewood’s James Hart School Panthers baseball team defeated Flossmoor’s Parker Junior High Falcons team in regional division play Wednesday 2-0. Hart now advances to sectional play on Saturday.
If Hart wins the Saturday game over Frankfort Hickory Creek it will advance in the Illinois Elementary School Association competition and get a chance to win the state title.
Hart went into the playoffs with an 11-2 season record.
Team members are Brady Blasgen, Antonio Britton, Jordan Clark, Joash Ebeywa, William Estock, Ethan Hamilton, James Hayes, Blake Head, Matthew Holley, Myles Humes, Elliot Humm, Zachariah Klyn, Torrey Langston, Michael McCloud, Evan McNeil, Zaire Presley and Ashton Turner.
