TRUCKIN’ INTO THE SCHOOL YEAR — Homewood and District 153 present a back-to-school touch-a-truck festival from noon to 4 p.m. today in the village hall parking lot, 2024 Chestnut Road. The event will feature police vehicles, fire vehicles, public work vehicles, giant kid-friendly games, a DJ spinning kid-friendly music, a rock climbing wall, a balloon twister, face painter, yoga for kids, food trucks selling snacks and refreshments and a performance by the James Hart Band.

CHURCH RUMMAGE SALE — St. Andrew Methodist Church, 18850 Riegel Road in Homewood, will have bargains available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, including gently used household goods, books, toys, tools, small furniture and children’s clothes.

BUCKET DRUMMING — Melody Mart, 18062 Dixie Highway, will host Itty Bitty Bucket Drumming with Davis from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.today. The session is for young children interested in learning the fundamentals of drumming.

HOMEWOOD FARMERS MARKET — Live music, fresh produce, crafts and other products will be available from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today on Martin Square between Ridge Road and Chestnut Road in downtown Homewood.
