H-F Park District posts new Facebook page

The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District announced Monday, Aug. 21, that it has a new Facebook page for residents to follow in order to find the latest information about programs and events.

“Earlier this month, the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District fell victim to hackers who disabled access to a handful of our Facebook pages,” district officials said in an email annoucement. “After a good amount of back and forth with Meta’s Internal Investigation Team, it was determined that even though they conceded our pages were no longer under our control, there was nothing they could to give us our administrative rights back. It’s been a frustrating process that has left us with no alternative but to create a new Facebook page.”

The new page is at facebook.com/HFParkDistrict
