PHOEBE HUNT AT TRAIL MIX — The Trail Mix Concert Series will return to Izaak Walton nature preserve on Saturday, Aug. 12, featuring Texas folk singer and fiddle player Phoebe Hunt. Adjacent Cruise, a husband-and-wife duet from Chicago, will open for her. Tickets for August’s Trail Mix are available for purchase on Trail Mix’s website with prices ranging from $17.50 to $30, depending on the seating.
GREEN THUMB SATURDAY TREE TOUR — Homewood Green Committee will host a tour of parkway trees to help participants learn more about species, diversity and some basic identification. Meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the corner of Homewood Avenue and Ridge Road in Homewood.
