IMPROV THROWDOWN — The Great Improv Throwdown will have South of Chi4th Wall ImprovImproductions LLC, and No Limit Laughs face off in an improv battle at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Homewood Science Center, 18022 Dixie Highway. Tickets are $10 cash at the door.

WHITE SOX HOST H-F DAY — Spend a day at the ballpark with other Homewood-Flossmoor friends and neighbors as the Chicago White Sox take on the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday, July 30, at 1:10 p.m. Discounted tickets are available and open to all residents, visitors, and family members! Ticket prices range from $22 to $42 dollars. All Tickets are mobile delivery only.

BUBBLE-OLOGY — H-F Park District will host a big bubble event for kids aged 2 to 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. on Sunday at Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center, 20000 Western Ave. “Dance in bubbles, make a giant bubble, create a bubble snake, stand inside a giant bubble and explore many other exciting bubble activity stations.” The park district urges all kids to wear clothes that can get soapy and wet — and bring a towel. Pre-registration is required. A non-paying adult must accompany child. The cost is $10 for residents, $12 for non-residents. 

BOOK SALE — The Friends of the Library will host a book sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the meeting room of the Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway.
