TEENPALOOZA — Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway, will host a Teenpalooza and Carnival tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. anyone in grades 7 thru 12. There will be carnival-type games, face-painting, music, food and prizes. Music by Six Of Spades. Registration is preferred. Visit bit.ly/3K26HP1 to register.

SIDEWALK SALE — Homewood Business Association is sponsoring a sidewalk sale today and tomorrow. Thirteen HBA businesses are participating.

GOTTS CHALK THE WALK —  Chalk art returns to Homewood on Sunday in the 18000 block of Martin Avenue. Artists will begin work at 10 a.m. and will finish by 6 p.m. Residents are invited to join the open chalking session from noon to 4 p.m. Free cotton candy will be available from noon to 3 p.m. Free face painting will be from noon to 4 p.m. Homewood’s Transit Oriented Development Master Plan consultants will be on hand to discuss the future of the downtown area and to host special chalking squares.

YOGA FOR KIDS — Serendipity Yoga owner Liz Smith will lead a free yoga class for kids from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at the Homewood Farmers’ Market on Martin Square between Ridge Road and Chestnut Road in Homewood.

FEAST OF THE GOAT QUEEN — Rabid Brewing will host what owners call an “endearingly weird fest celebrating Floralia with fae costumes, new beers, live goats, live music, food vendors, exotic entertainment and an artisan market of the natural, mystical and magical” from 2 to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. Baby goats will be on hand from the start until about 6 p.m. Tickets are $20.

FLOSSMOOR VIADUCT CLOSED SUNDAY — The Flossmoor viaduct will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 24, for a Metra painting project, weather permitting. Detour signs will be placed to direct motorists.
