BBQ FOR THE TROOPS — Chevrolet of Homewood will host its annual BBQ for the Troops from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the dealership, 18033 Halsted St. Proceeds from donations go to United Service Organizations (USO), which provides support for active duty military service members and their families.
GARDEN WALK — Take a walk through seven beautiful gardens on the 2023 Southland Community Garden Walk from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, starting at Goldberg Park, 3301 Flossmoor Road, Flossmoor. Tickets for the garden walk are $20 in advance, and $25 the day of the event. Proceeds from the garden walk benefit two helping agencies, Aunt Martha’s Health and Wellness and Respond Now.
