ACOUSTIC AFTER HOURS — Andrew Robert Palmer, an indie-rock/folk singer-songwriter will entertain with songs that draw inspiration from his upbringing in Hazel Crest and address universal themes. GARDEN WALK — Take a walk through seven beautiful gardens on the 2023 Southland Community Garden Walk from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, starting at Goldberg Park, 3301 Flossmoor Road, Flossmoor. Tickets for the garden walk are $20 in advance, and $25 the day of the event. Proceeds from the garden walk benefit two helping agencies, Aunt Martha’s Health and Wellness and Respond Now. WETLANDS WALK AT THORN CREEK NATURE CENTER — An introduction to wetlands will be followed by a three-mile walk to tour wetland areas with a naturalist guide.
