PROPERTY TAX HELP — Homewood residents living in Bloom Township might want to attend a property tax assistance workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, at Chicago Heights Middle School, 1020 Dixie Highway. The workshop will help property owners understand assessment notices, determine whether to file an appeal and learn how to file an appeal. There will be a Q&A session. MENTAL HEALTH TALK — The National Association for Mental Illness (NAMI) begins a family-to-family program at 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 11 through Aug. 7 at Bremen Township Senior Complex, 15350 Oak Park Ave. in Oak Forest. NAMI Family-to-Family is taught by NAMI-trained family members who have been there, and includes presentations, discussions and interactive exercises. Registration is required. HOMEWOOD BOARD MEETING — Homewood Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at village hall, 2020 Chestnut Road. Trustees will consider authorizing the purchase of two vehicles, disposal of surplus property and an updated agreement with  South Suburban Emergency Response Team. David Nelson will take the oath of office for the position of police officer.

FLOSSMOOR LIBRARY BOARD — Flossmoor Public Library Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, in the library at 1000 Sterling Ave.
