MURAL WALK CLOSED — Flossmoor Public Library announced on Thursday that registration has reached capacity and closed early for the July 2 Haas Mural Walk cosponsored with the Flossmoor Veterans Memorial group.
HOMEWOOD FARMERS’ MARKET — The market will be open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with fresh produce, baked goods, live music and more.
JACKSON STATION IMPACTED — Taking the train to the Loop? Be aware that 2 of the three Metra Electric access points to the Jackson/Van Buren Street Station are now closed until after the NASCAR event July 1 and 2. The path between Jackson Street and the platforms and the path through the “Paris Metro” entrance at Van Buren on the east side of Michigan Avenue are closed. The access points at Van Buren on the west side of Michigan Avenue will remain open and Metra Electric service will not be impacted.
