MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONIES
HOMEWOOD – The VFW ceremony will start at 10:30 a.m. today at Veteran’s Memorial at the intersection of Harwood Avenue and Olive Road. The James Hart School band will perform and the Homewood Police Department’s Color Guard Unit will participate in the ceremony. Harwood from near Kroner Lane to 183rd Street will be closed at 9:15 a.m. until the end of the ceremony.

FLOSSMOOR – Taps Across America at 3 p.m. in the traffic circle island. There will be a moment of silence to honor those who have died in military service and the sounding of taps.
