If you can spare an hour or two on Saturday, May 6, the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District hopes you’ll volunteer for the annual Park Pride event.
Work crews will be out between 8:30 and 11 a.m. to help around the nearly 40 parks in Homewood and Flossmoor. Duties include cleaning out gardens and planting flowers, collecting trash in the parks and raking.
Each volunteer will get a Park Pride T-shirt and be invited to a lunch at Irwin Park starting around 11:30 a.m.
Volunteers are welcome and captains are needed for each park. Register with park district staffer Jennah Carlson at [email protected].
