Chicago Southland Green Drinks, a group actively involved in examining environmental topics, will host a “Sustainability 101” discussion led by Maria Anna Rafac at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, at Flossmoor Station, 1035 Sterling Ave. in Flossmoor.
Rafac is the sustainability coordinator at Joliet Junior College, an architect and a program advisor for the construction management program. She will outline several topics, including the circular economy, doughnut economics and UN sustainability and development goals.
Local organizer Dave Ward said this will be the group’s second post-COVID meeting. He said the group is a good way to meet people with similar interests over food and beverages. All are welcome, but RSVP is appreciated and can be shared with Ward at [email protected].
