Meet the Candidates: Alex Bosch, D153

Job/role: Northwestern University – Director, Business Operations
Family: Married and I have three children.

Issues:

  • Oversee the district’s annual budget effectively now that the structural deficit no longer exists as a result of the passing of the referendum.
  • Providing opportunities for every District 153 student to succeed and achieve to the best of their abilities. For this to occur, the district and school board must responsibly provide resources to administrators and staff allowing them to create and maintain a positive learning environment. This requires continued collaboration between the board, administration, staff and the community.

  • Continue collaborating with fellow board members, administration, and staff to address the issues that were communicated during the 2022 referendum.
  • Ensure the district continues to be fiscally responsible with taxpayer dollars.
  • With the passing of the 2022 referendum eliminating the structural deficit, move forward with a plan to address facility needs on the district’s three campuses.
  • Maintain open communication with administration and staff to identify needs of students, including but not limited to: curriculum, social and emotional learning, and then securing resources to fulfill the need.
