A 32-year-old man died at a local hospital early Saturday from stabbing injuries, according to Homewood police.
Officers responded to the 19100 block of Pierce Court in Homewood shortly after 3 a.m. and discovered the victim with a stab wound.
Officers and Homewood Fire Department paramedics treated the man at the scene. He was transported to South Suburban Hospital, where he died.
Police said the incident appears to have been a targeted attack, and there is not an on-going threat to the community.
