Homewood-Flossmoor High School students in New Faces Theatre will perform the comedy “Scapin” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 23, 24 and 25, at the high school’s Performing Arts Center in the South Building, 999 Kedzie Ave.
This updated version of Moliere’s famous play has Scapin and Sylvestre, valets to two fathers. Scapin facilitates outlandish schemes in order to help the two young men of the house in a story of trickery, love, secret marriage and ludicrous scenarios that lend themselves to slapstick comedy and farce.
Mallory Garcia takes on the role of Scapin and Moira Michel portrays the other valet Sylvestre.
Cast members are Damarian Green, Nicholas Harvey, Devin Kenebrew and Bryce Stewart.
The play is directed by Anne Calderon, English and fine arts teacher.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased through hfhs.ticketleap.com.
