The Drama Group will stage “Steel Magnolias,” a comedy about friends who meet each Saturday at the beauty salon, during mid-February.
This play is set in Chinaquapin, Louisiana, and focuses on discussions of the ladies in town who come for standing appointments with salon owner Truvvy Jones and her assistant, Annelle, every week. There is the wealthy widow and former first lady of the town, a serious curmudgeon, a compassionate career woman and her daughter who is the prettiest girl in town.
