When Cook County took extra time to switch its computer system, the usual September deadline for paying second installment taxes was pushed back to December.
Through a state law passed in December, the deadline for Cook County first installment taxes has been moved back from the usual March 1 date to Monday, April 3, according to Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas.
Bills for the first installment will be mailed out in late February or early March, but bills are already available online at
