CLASSICAL MUSIC FOR NEIGHBORS – Enjoy a free classical music concert by high school musicians from the Academy program of Music Institute of Chicago, from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Flossmoor Community Church. Works by Paganini, Beethoven, Schumann and Bloch will be performed. Donations to NeighborScapes will be collected.
BE A FIRE DEPARTMENT CADET – Applications are open for Glenwood Fire Department Cadet program for high school students ages 15 to 18. Learn about careers in fire and emergency medicine services through both classroom and hands-on training. The group will meet on Mondays, beginning Jan. 23. Stop by fire station 1 to apply.
