Dear Editors,
I dropped off my Christmas tree at Irons Oaks this week, adding it to a huge pile that probably numbered over 40 trees. That was on Jan. 4, so I’m sure there are dozens more to come.
I thought of Jennifer Molski, the Flossmoor resident who started this tree recycling program in 2010, and wanted to thank her publicly. According to the H-F Chronicle, residents have really embraced the idea, with hundreds of trees dropped off yearly. I’m so glad to be part of a community that backs such a worthwhile effort.
Clearly, Jennifer’s good idea has taken root! (Sorry, I couldn’t resist!)
