DON’T LET TREES & LIGHTS GO TO LANDFILLS – If you’re taking down holiday decorations this weekend, remember to recycle your Christmas tree and nonworking holiday lights with H-F Park District now through Jan. 18.

Drop off Christmas trees at Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center at the Vollmer Road parking lot. Trees should be completely bare of all decorations and placed with trunks facing the road. After the collection, trees will be chipped and used to cover the Irons Oaks trails.

Nonworking holiday lights and extension cords can be dropped off during normal business hours at Irons Oaks, Park Place, Irwin Center, Goldberg Center and H-F Racquet and Fitness Club.
