Franciscan Alliance’s South Suburban Chicago Division’s new ambulatory care facility is scheduled to open Jan. 1, 2023, at 1400 Otto Boulevard in Chicago Heights near the site of the former Franciscan St. James hospital.
Specialty Physicians of Illinois, LLC (SPI) Family Medicine and Walk-In Clinic is located at 1400 Otto Boulevard. The clinic will offer same-day care 365 days a year. The SPI Family Medicine practice will open later in January.
The Family Medicine and Walk-In Clinic provide an appropriate level of care for patients who might otherwise use the emergency room for non-emergency treatment.
“Franciscan Alliance has provided services to this community for more than 100 years and has demonstrated our fidelity to this community by adapting to the latest advances in healthcare,“ said Raymond Grady, president and chief executive officer of Franciscan Alliance’s South Suburban Chicago Division, which includes SPI. “As the healthcare landscape has shifted to more emphasis on ambulatory care, Franciscan Alliance has responded by creating this new ambulatory site that offers easily accessible, safe, timely, efficient and effective patient-centered care.”
The new, free-standing, 10,200-square-foot facility features 12 exam rooms, a triage room, procedure room, laboratory space and an imaging/x-ray unit. The facility was officially dedicated during a blessing ceremony on Nov. 30.
“Our investment in this new healthcare facility supports our strategic vision to incorporate patient-centric, innovative design that helps us deliver quality care and enhance the comfort and experience for our patients and their families,” said Specialty Physicians of Illinois, LLC, Director of Operations Sheree Boyd.
The new facility includes the SPI Family Medicine practice of doctors Jenna Cella, and John Tibble, both of whom are accepting new patients. For more information, call 708-754-7777.
