14 school board hopefuls run for Homewood, Flossmoor, H-F seats

There are 14 candidates running in the April 4 election who are hoping to win a seat on school boards serving District 153 in Homewood, District 161 in Flossmoor and Homewood-Flossmoor High School.

The candidates for four-year terms on the Homewood District 153 school board are incumbents Ashanti M Bethea, Alexander Z. Bosch, Jim Schmidt and Ronald Zinnerman.

The candidates for four-year terms on the Flossmoor District 161 school board are incumbents, David Linnear, Christina Popolla-Vlietstra and Michael Rouse II, and one new candidate, Theartris Childress.

The candidates for four-year terms on the Homewood-Flossmoor District 233 school board are incumbents Pamela Jackson, Nathan Legardy, Gerald Pauling II; new candidates Charles E. Dieringer Jr. and Christopher K. Riedel; and former board member Beth A. Larocca.

These names were posted on the Cook County Clerk’s website on Dec. 21. For the April 4 election, voters will also elect candidates for board of trustee in Homewood and Flossmoor, Homewood-Flossmoor Park District board of commissioners and the library boards in Homewood and Flossmoor. Those candidate names were not yet available.
