BED BUILDING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Sixty volunteers are needed to help build 20 twin beds that will be given to children across the Southland through the nonprofit organization Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
The event on Jan. 14 is part of the 2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.
People interested in volunteering to build beds should sign up online. Others can donate bedding through an online shopping wishlist. See the Village of Flossmoor website.
Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department Corporation donated $3,000 to cover the cost of building materials for this project.
