H-F Theatre production ‘Monstersongs’ on stage Nov. 3, 4, 5

Homewood-Flossmoor High School students will present “Monstersongs” as the fall H-F Theatre production on Nov. 3, 4 and 5 in the Mall Auditorium.

The story will take guests in a synthesized world of the graphic novel, rock musicals, live performances and new technology as seen through the eyes of a child who opens a portal into the psyches of often misunderstood creatures.

Using a variety of musical genres, including folk, gothic, classical, ‘60s pop, hard rock and bluegrass, performers will show through scary, silly and heartfelt stories how it’s humanity that binds us all.

This production is recommended for those age 10 and older. Performances will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, and Friday, Nov. 4, with a 2 p.m. performance on Saturday, Nov. 5. Tickets are on sale at hfhs.ticketleap.com/monstersongs.

“Monstersongs” is directed by teacher J.R. Willard-Rose.

Cast members are Araceli Adames, Jamia Akil, De’Angelo Barlow, Sam Bouyer, Moises Contreras, Judah Crowder, Marissa Diaz, Zelda Golland, Stella Hoyt, Eleanor “Calcifer” Jenkins, Sullivan Matthys, Gabe McKinney, Tessa O’Keefe, Jazmin Rhodes, Steven Rogers, Annabelle Rudan, Casey Siengo, Madison Vitolka, Amy Ward and Brianah Williams.
