Following the pandemic, one of the programs for seniors that is back on is the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District’s weekly lunch and bingo.
Persons 55 and older can enjoy a boxed lunch at noon provided by a variety of local businesses and stay for bingo with friends. Or just come to enjoy the bingo at 1 p.m. each Thursday at the Irwin Center, 18120 Highland Ave. in Homewood.
Registration deadline is Wednesdays at noon. The lunch is $8 for H-F Park District residents, or $10 for non-residents. Bingo cards are 50-cents each, with a maximum of two cards. Contact the Irwin Center at 708-957-7275 to place a reservation.
This program is in partnership with Oak Street Health.
